Rite Temp Thermostat Programming

Playboating in South East

It's Monday, the 11th October 25 acres by 3 clock and the ICE to Frankfurt goes squeaking into the Munich main station. I heave my two heavy bags, a backpack and the paddle on the train and fall easier on one of the many free seats. After 2 days of stress packing it starts at last on the great journey. In thinking of the many things that fall are now directly in front of me, I slowly into a restless sleep.

Report Seppi straw Meier

Anne, Almut and I are sitting at the airport in Frankfurt amid a pile of luggage. Including several stuffed bag with kayaking gear, Anne's boat, the paddles, as well as luggage and hand luggage. It is 7 clock in the morning and I am waiting with my two Travel attendants at the check-in counter, the queue is getting longer.
am After a short night on the train and the seemingly endless checks at the airport I glad to be able to relax on the plane first. A first impression of the American way of life we will then immediately to the typical American entertainment and the out-of-the-box tasting the airline.

holiday mood comes on but then when we land at 30 degrees in the shade and a cloudless sky in Charlotte, immediately find our rental car and make us right on the way to Robert Peerson to Asheville. Robert is a boat designer at Wave Sport and chief organizer of our first accommodation as well as my Boats for the coming months.

After a good start early the first night we in the next day. After Ausfitten of boats and a short stroll through the picturesque residential district of our hosts, we go to Iceland rock in Tennessee to start there's our first session.

Rock Iceland is home and training base of the Jackson one. The four-time world champion and world champion Eric couples Emily and Nick have settled in the immediate vicinity of one of the best places in the U.S. to play there to practice their sport outside the front door to.

front of a picturesque waterfall on the Caney Fork River is located, depending on the water level several waves and holes that invite acrobatic maneuvers. Three whole days are spent in Rock Iceland.

Our program consists not only of paddling, but also includes a tour of the Jackson Kayak factory and a visit to the Jack Daniel's Whiskey Museum in Lynchburg.

It is the 16th October - Gauley drainage weekend. For us, pack the car and drive to West Virginia. We are with Bryan Kirk, U.S. Team Wave Sport paddlers and Gauley Local agreed to show us the way through all the Rapids and the play spots on his home run.

The Gauley River draws a beautiful canyon where the sporting cataracts alternate with world-class game sites.

After two days of big water downriver freestyle we make ourselves exhausted on the way to our next destination, the Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. According to our whitewater guide the Nantahala Gorge, the gorge is meistgepaddelte in the Southeast. Their departure marked the impressive NOC, which in addition to slalom course and freestyle site also high ropes course, Raftbase, outdoor store and cabins has exhibit.

Our main focus is attention to the NOC-roll, which is the year in 2013 hosted the Freestyle World Championships. From Monday to Wednesday we distribute our time here. And although the paddle in the icy waters of the Nantahala River is always great effort, we can, thanks to brilliant sunshine but always motivated again to get into our kayaks for us off steam in the play quite challenging spot.

Since Almut vacation slowly comes to a close and we again have to deliver at the airport, we decide to spend their last days in the U.S. National Whitewater Center in Charlotte.

This powerful system is it's an artificial whitewater course with multiple channels, conveyor belt and pump system, which means the water is funneled back to the entrance.

Besides the obligatory channel Slalom, the course offers several rollers and a wave that will be 2012, the venue of a World Cup freestyle events. Despite the low water depth in some Make offers sufficiently Potetial's spot for numerous spectacular maneuvers.

hungry but satisfied, we make us on Thursday evening to downtown Charlotte to Almut vacation leave due to thick burgers, greasy fries and to celebrate pappsüsser Coke.

The next morning, 22 October, Anne and I finally get to their plane back to Munich. The pain of parting, however, lasts long, this represents for us the beginning of our next trip step; Two more weeks in the South East are before us. And to make a kayak trip to the other on the most beautiful White water in the region.

Indian Summer in Oetztal

Flo Stiebibg, Daniel and Chris came after a long night on Saturday morning in Oetztal and we make and einpaddeln on the way to the top Oetz. The water level was somewhat low in mood but did not detract from the cold and Flo and I our new Bunny Suits opposed. Simply brilliant the parts!

sensational start at the weather guys lihre first descent on the middle Oetz, the route had changed compared to last year extreme and felt almost like a new stream. We would have liked to run again, but the darkness prevented this.

On Sunday it was the end of this perfect weekend again to the Middle Oetz, where we could enjoy the last rays of the sun. We would have liked to have remained there. Surely the next Oetztal weekend comes.
