Pentecost in the snow But again snow. Martin, Frank and I started at Pentecost, after a short night on a hard surface about 6:00 on the Pitztal glacier Taschachhaus web direction. The ski on the back we walked along the valley in ski boots. Surprisingly, we had good weather, the sun was shining, the shining summit and down the grass was always greener. Spring and autumn are simply the most beautiful mountains in the hours: the quiet and strong contrasts are here to best advantage.
Somehow I got the little sleep not, in any case I decided to go during the ascent, only to the hut and stay there. When we were finally there, it was almost nine-thirty and the sun showed its full force. Also Martin and Frank decided to go no further and we looked at the snow when it melts. We made ourselves comfortable in the winter house and enjoyed the rest alone up here with a beautiful view of the Taschachwand. It had, however, quite a bit of fresh snow and so we were not quite conclusively know what to do. The landlord paid us even a short visit, we built a snow melt and collected water, heated, and cooked us a delicious soup. In the meantime we had received from two Dutch visit, the lunch did not go Urkundrunde. It then moved to the afternoon and we are pretty laid back for a nap. We had already gotten enough sun. The sleep was good. Fresh again on his feet again, we got water and went to the dinner and then discussed the plans for the next day. The Dutch were not back yet, but they were seen no more. While we were at dinner, they came back at last - They were only with the entry of Taschachwand gone, also two axes and a loner who came, who spoke not a word - not even he could greet - to ensure the water collected laboriously served just like that. Fortunately we had the camp for us and we quickly disappeared in the beds. The alarm clock rang at 4:00
, we wanted to go at 5.00 towards Bligg / Sexergertenspitze. The trip to the lack of snow Bliggspitze was nothing, so we shuffled further and climbed one of the channels of high Sexergertenferner.
snow had enough here, the track was very difficult. After the channel we were taking a break before we return to Ski the switchover and walked on the north wall. We were fairly quickly on your way so it was still early when we went into the wall. Martin spurts ever, as we have packed the rope and then walked behind the beautiful step-sparkled. So we came forward quickly and were at 10.00 at the summit. A beautiful view we had - the massive glaciers of the plateau was Weißseespitze before us. We did not stay long because the sun softened the snow going up and we drove towards Urkundsattel. We had a field of snow slides leave, something is, as always uncomfortable when it is frozen, but was clearly the safest option. The slopes below the Urkundsattels were still frozen, so the piste skiing was like what the Martin was happy. After all, I allowed myself on the last slope before the cottage a short trip by easily aufgefirnten snow, which was the subsequent steps value and a rewarding end of the season.
Back at the hut, we sat back comfortably, and brought plenty of water, unfortunately, it soon moved on and so we could dry our stuff just in the sun. Wobbled one afternoon the Dutch, who were totally broken, they talked about a lot of snow. After a short break, they descend directly or to the valley. The maverick is gone but in fact the Taschachwand ski, the ski tracks was significantly to see. Shortly before the departure he seemed to have reversed. Since no one else came up, we were the first time alone at the hut. By the Saxons was not visible for a long time, they wanted to go Wildspitz north wall and came back when we wanted to go to bed (20.00 clock). They were done perfectly, after all, they were also been out 15h.
We stood at 2.30 clock to strike out an hour later. Although three people had gone through the Taschachwand, we doubted the conditions and safety. At the start of Taschachwand we wanted to decide what we do. Franzi was bad and to me it did not work very well. The snow had not frozen again by right and we decided after much Back and forth to turn easily. At half past six we were back at the hut and had a beautiful clear morning experience that everyone enjoyed their own way. After another dose of sleep and a leisurely breakfast in the sun, we headed to the gradual decline. The
Taschachhaus as a tour destination is worth in the spring of all, especially in the winter, comfortable room a delight - who needs because there a farmed hut?
