Half Board Full Board Difference

The first blast of the year

Since mid-January, I had not been to ski tour and it was now finally time to go back to time, ski before the season ends. Easter seemed an appropriate weekend and I broke up with Michael, Marc and Andi to Gries. It was getting late and we could get away to, It was already dark. It was snowing and the moonlight was nothing to see. But with the head torch route was very easy and comfortable to be walking toward the Amberger hut. Shortly before 10 clock we arrived and there had already been waiting for Andi and Chris. Fortunately we got to eat something, because I had a murder hunger.
As was predicted for Friday, the best weather, we decided to go to the Schrankogel (3496 m). For this purpose, we run the Sulztal the flat back and turn just before the contraction to the left. The road runs on the slopes towards the Black Mountain also high. After a short break in the sun we went through this until the depot on the east side of Schrankogel. Columns could be seen on the addition of nothing, in spite of the little snow. We had started late and the depot was already quite full. The last 400 hm, we went walking along the ridge towards the summit. Here I was struggling again against the height and the high steps in the powder. According to tour description is of a ridge II, with the snow he was going to be very light and exposed at any point. At the lower summit, we were alone, the last Gratschneide had not dared to cross over and we did not. However, we were somewhat surprised when some drove off the steep north wall. Except for a small slab remained but fortunately all the snow where he was (at least it was a 3 and the slope is steep in places, about 40 °). Even otherwise many channels were first felt fresh, which surprised us. After a beautiful panoramic view we started the descent. Just before the depot came to us on a guided group meet on the long rope - we were glad when we were here over. After the first exit, which was really nice ride in the powder, the boys decided to have a tendency to rise to P 3254th Although I was pretty tired, but still went with a piece until I was done simply. Since Michael had turned around, we drove off to the hut.
was predicted for Saturday afternoon against Fönsturm and so we used the morning with a shorter tour. We wanted to head down to the rear (3225 m). For this purpose, we run the the Sulztal to the glacier end and turn left again. The valley runs in an L-shape towards the summit. In the south, the clouds have already swollen and although it was in the ascent was very warm, whistled at the top already a dashing wind. So we went on because of the huge group of peaks, the exit quickly. The first slope was exposed to the wind, but it offered a more beautiful powder. Overall, we enjoyed the descent, especially two completely untracked slopes in the lower part made you feel good. The boys still needed an additional exit and climbed the glacier towards Daunjoch up. I was pretty tired, the day before I put it quite in the bones and went directly to the hut. The hoped-for great additional departure offered the boys, unfortunately, not anymore, it was now drawn fairly.
For Sunday, bad weather with some cloud gaps in the morning and showers was forecast in the afternoon. So we decided to Kuhscheibe (3189 m) to try and turn in poor conditions. The weather was amazing but good and so we went, like many others, for Roßkarferner. After the first steep section, you walk through hilly terrain very far to the west, before it steepens again. The last meters to the summit held on an Blockgrat, who went to go but also without crampons well. This time the runs, unfortunately not so beautiful: The snow was already harschig and sometimes even difficult to drive. Nevertheless, it was a successful conclusion, especially because the weather was so good. On the descent from the hut had to let the ski run and just dodge the pedestrians and lugers. Finally we stopped at the last patch of snow 50 meters in front of the car - if that was not made to measure it!
